It was fully restored about 13 years ago and the owner was forced to relocate and had nowhere to keep the car inside and let the car sit out. I purchased the car about 1 year ago with all intentions of restoring the car but have to many projects. When i purchased the car it was not running so i put on a new gas tank, new plugs and wires, distributor cap and button, new coil, a used correct carb, new rally wheels, rings and new tires, turned all rotors, new brake pads and lines, changed oil, filter and flushed transmission put some gas in and a new battery and the car fired right up runs and drives great. Have put around 300 miles on the car since i got it running. I drove the car to a local cleanup shop and had them to wet sand and buff the car all over about a year ago the paint looked good from a distance but needs repainted all over but would get by if you just wanted to have a good driver and not a show car. This is a factory 4 speed car that is very rare and hard to find car. I also had the radiator purged, repaired and replaced the thermostat. The previous owner told me that when he restored this car, everything in the engine, transmission and drivetrain was new. The body is super and all the bumpers and other moldings are all here. I've even bought another center guage instrument panel. The car has three tops the hardtop, a show car hard top and the soft top that needs redone. I forgot there is no compressor on this car but i think it is a factory air car. I forgot to mention that the numbers do match on this car it is the orginal engine. 84,934 miles from the odometer. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is H26. December 26, 2008. |
